Invest In The Future of Agriculture

While our agricultural family continues to get smaller through acquisitions and mergers, the need for strong voices continues. Your leadership commitment enriches the IALF's tradition of excellence and we hope you will support the continuation of the tradition through your tax-deductible gift. We are grateful to each investor for support of our program and thank you for recognizing the importance of our mission and the real need for skilled leaders in agriculture.

Support the IALF

With the help and support of each of you, the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation (IALF) continues its mission to develop knowledgeable and effective spokespersons to become policy and decision makers for the agricultural industry. As you consider your year-end tax-deductible gifts, we ask for your personal and/or business gift to the Foundation.

There are many ways a gift can be made.  Below are just a few options that may help as you consider how you would like to contribute.

  • Securities (stock)- deductible at full fair market value on the date of transfer as a charitable contribution if owned for over one year.
  • Personal Property (related to the IALF’s exempt purposes)- fully tax deductible at fair market value, including crops and livestock.
  • Life Insurance– can be donated in two ways: sole owner and beneficiary or naming the IALF beneficiary of the policy.

You can also make a direct contribution online using the secure processing link provided by Paypal:

We are also excited to continue the Programming Endowment Campaign for the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation. Our goal is to raise $3 million to permanently endow our programming.  Since we began, we have received more than $1,275,000 in gifts and pledges.  Among pledges
received to date are:

  • Monsanto has made a 5 year commitment to sponsor the National Travel Seminar
  • Richard Ryan, board member, has joined the University of Chicago to underwrite the Economics and Marketplace Seminar
  • GROWMARK has endowed the Global Challenges and Leadership Opportunities Seminar
  • Board member and alumni Kim Morton ‘98 has endowed the National Ag Policy Seminar

The Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program (IALP) is sponsored by the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation (IALF), a non-profit 501( c )3 organization. Initial funding to launch the program was provided by the W.K Kellogg Foundation and the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Sustaining funds are provided by participation fees, individuals, businesses, organizations, universities and in-kind support.

Investors also have an opportunity to provide input and participate in leadership seminars, if they wish. Name recognition at high levels of business, agriculture, education and government is an important benefit for many businesses and organizations.
