Nethercutt brings Washington state
perspective to the group.

U.S Representative George Nethercutt (R-Washington)
addressed the IALP class in advance of their trip to his
home state. A member of the 1994 freshman class,
Nethercutt elaborated his support on ag issues such as the
Freedom to Farm Act, private property rights and elimination
of the "Death Tax."

Senators Fitzgerald and Durbin host IALP
delegation at weekly Illinois breakfast.

Senators Peter Fitzgerald (R) and Dick Durbin (D)
fielded a wide range of questions from Illinois constituents
ranging from child care to crop insurance reform. They
host a weekly forum in the Dirksen Senate Office Building to
hear from their home state voters.

welcomes the IALF to the Brazilian Embassy.

Ambassador Flecha de-Lima addresses the group on the
Brazilian currency devaluation and how this will affect the
Ag sector there. He said that current economic conditions
are not conducive to soybean expansion due to low
prices.
