Michael Alston, 43, Chatham, is a regional director for the United States Department of Agriculture where he is responsible for overseeing and administering the federal crop insurance program in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois.  Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from Michigan State University where he is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.  He is a member of the United Way and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
