IALP, in a nineteen-month program, exposes you to new ideas, perspectives and experiences.  This program capitalizes upon your strengths and builds your confidence which enables you to succeed not only in your career but in your life. The opportunities and experiences the IALP provided to me were invaluable.

"It seems like everywhere you go people are talking about how we need to develop leadership and communications skills.  Well, the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program is doing just that – developing leadership and communication skills in the next generation of agricultural spokespeople. The time spent in the program helped me to see a broader picture of agriculture and make connections that I would not have otherwise made.  The connections have not only helped me personally, but they have helped me professionally."

The Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program has been one of the best things I could have done for my career in agriculture and also for my personal growth.  I am excited to do my part for the agriculture industry in ways that I was not aware of before joining the Class of 2018. This program and the people I have met have grown my knowledge of the industry, stretched my viewpoints and given me a well-rounded experience I will be able to utilize as I do my part to help shape the future of agriculture.
