On Sunday, March 10, 2019, the Illinois Agriculture Leadership Class of 2020 started their National Ag Policy Seminar in Washington D.C. Half of the group left from O’Hare International Airport and the other half departed out of St. Louis International Airport under the command of Lee Strom and Todd Lowery. Upon arriving at Dulles International Airport the group headed to the Arlington Suites Hotel where they enjoyed the 60-degree weather and quick cuisine at various local establishments.

Shortly after 4 pm, the group traveled by bus to Gary and Ann Baise’s where the class was greeted with warm welcomes.

Among the group, we were joined by Ted McKinney, Martin Barbre, Mike Stokke, Glen Smith, Darren Coppock, and their significant others.

After a fantastic dinner, provided by the Baise’s, the agriculture leaders shared details about their individual leadership journeys to the IALP. On behalf of the entire class of 2020, we are honored to have the opportunity to network and meet these agriculture leaders in Washington DC.
