Illinois Ag Leadership Foundation

IALF

A Message to the Friends of the IALF

Like so many citizens, families and organizations, the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation finds itself in historic times. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our daily lives in ways that were unimaginable just a few weeks ago.  As a leadership organization, now is the time for all leaders to rise to the challenge of meeting the adversity presented by this terrible virus.

President Lee Strom speaks to the friends of the IALF concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of our alumni, corporate, and organization partners. We are sensitive to the current situation and greatly appreciate the support that has been afforded to us during this difficult time. In respect of the road ahead, we will be temporarily limiting our appeals to allow everyone to focus on the challenges being faced both personally and professionally.

The IALF will continue to move forward while realizing the importance that we all must do our part to meet this challenge. Our staff is working remotely but continues to focus on our mission of creating effective leaders for agriculture.

Through strong communication between IALF staff, our boards, and committees, we will continue to serve the agriculture and food sectors along with our alumni and many supporters in the weeks and months to come. Although there have been logistical challenges and the need to reschedule some upcoming IALF activities, at this time, we continue with preparations to welcome the new IALP Class of 2022 this coming August.

We wish you good health, knowing that if we all do our part, we will emerge stronger as a community, country, and industry.

Warm regards, Lee
